Welcome to Leipzig, one of Europe's most fascinating cities. With its baroque and neoclassical architecture, the German city offers visitors a wide variety of cultural and historical attractions.
Among the things to see in Leipzig, there is the Völkerschlachtdenkmal, the monument dedicated to the Battle of the Nations, one of the largest on the entire continent. Equally unmissable is St. Thomas Church, where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a cantor and where internationally renowned choirs and orchestras still perform today.
But one of Leipzig's most famous sights is certainly the Opernhaus, Leipzig's opera house. Built in 1817, the Opernhaus is one of the oldest opera houses in Europe and one of the most important cultural centers in Germany. Inside you can enjoy great opera, as well as classical and contemporary performances.
Leipzig is also a city rich in parks and gardens, such as the Rosental, located in the city center, and the Schlosspark, an oasis of peace and tranquility from which you can observe wonderful historical architecture.
